MEERQAT quality improvement tools were showcased at the Queensland Regional Training Network (QRTN) Clinical Training Symposium conducted in Brisbane in November 2015.
The Symposium brought together people involved in clinical education from across Queensland, with a range of stakeholders from health services, education providers and government.
Given the focus of the Symposium, most interest at the MEERQAT trade booth was shown in BPCLEtool, as it was developed specifically for implementing the Best Practice Clinical Learning Environment (BPCLE) Framework in health services.
MEERQAT Director Phil Cohen was delighted at the interest shown in other MEERQAT tools, particularly the range of basemaps that have been developed for key clinical-related processes in the acute health setting. As Philip reported, "People were particularly interested in the maps that have been developed to assist in the implementation of the national quality standards, including clinical deterioration and clinical handover, and they could see a number of potential uses in their organisations".
